FSM Summer Retreat 2018
July 6th - July 8th, 2018
Join FSM for Summer Retreat at Sunnyhill Campground July 6-8! Students in 6th-12th grade will have a blast doing the high ropes course, as well as other outdoor activities and games. Students will also participate in services that will help them encounter God and grow their own relationships with Him.
The cost is $100 per student, including lodging, all meals, events and travel. The group will leave Faith Community at 3pm on Friday, July 6 and return Sunday, July 8 at 12pm.
All students/guardians must fill out a medical form. Download the form at the link below and turn it in to the registration table at FSM.

Small Group Leadership Training : July 22
July 22nd, 2018
If you're interested in leading your own small group, now is the time to get started! A new semester will begin on September 9 and we're looking for leaders to begin new groups. This training session on Sunday, July 22 at 12pm will help you learn more about being a small group leader and equip you for success. Childcare will be provided.
- There is another training session on Wednesday, August 1. You only need to attend one of these sessions.
Kids Camp 2018
July 23rd - July 27th, 2018
This year's camp is all focused on finding JOY in God!
Summer Camp is one of the highlights of summer for kids. It's also a great opportunity for them to learn more about the love of Jesus, and experience the power of the Holy Spirit. There will be plenty of fun activities planned such as swimming, skating, basketball, THE BLOB, water sports, rock wall climbing and MUCH more!
Date: July 23-27
(There is a $5 fee to send prescription medications with your child that covers the cost of a camp nurse's assistance and oversight throughout the week.)
Registration Deadline: Sunday, June 17
Includes: All meals, lodging, and activities. Your child will need some spending money for meals on the way down as well as any extra concessions.
Royal Family Kids Camp Volunteer - One Night Event
July 26th, 2018
Royal Family Kids hosts camps each summer for kids in the Foster Care system. Their mission is to confront abuse and change lives with compassion and unconditional love. These camps provide foster care children with the opportunity to have an incredible week of fun, while also building their self-esteem and worth. To learn more about the story behind RFK, click here.
We'll be visiting a Royal Family Kids Camp in Greenville, IL for one night to help with a "Carnival Night." Our team will be running carnival-style games.
Date: Thursday, July 26
• We will depart Faith Community at 1:30pm and ride together. If you need to drive separately, please arrive no later than 5pm. Contact Elissa Shirrell to let her know and get directions.
Dinner: Dinner will most likely be provided at the camp. More details to come.
Pre-Event Meeting & Reg. Deadline: June 24 at 12pm

This event is open to anyone 16 and older. Children between the ages of 12-15 may attend with a parent, but will only be able to participate as a volunteer.
Child Dedication Class
July 29th, 2018
Child dedication is a great way for the church to show parents that they’re not alone in the parenting journey. This class will walk parents through what it means to teach children how to follow Jesus and is required to participate in the Child Dedication Service on August 5. Lunch and childcare will be provided!

Back to School Bash Volunteer
August 11th, 2018
Every year, Peace By Piece hosts a Back to School Bash that provides school supplies for students in our church family and community. Each student will receive the specific supplies on their list and get to enjoy a fun party outside when they come to pick them up!
There are several areas available to serve. Please indicate your first choice as you complete your registration, but understand they are subject to change depending on need. We will contact you if you're needed to serve in a different role.
There will also be a Volunteer Rally on Sunday, July 29 at 12pm to go over the day and get your free t-shirt!

Next Steps: August 26

The next session of Next Steps is on Sunday, August 26
This class is designed to help you know God, find freedom, discover your purpose, and to help you make a difference!
Next Steps is a one day class that lasts about 3 hours and includes a complimentary lunch and childcare. During the session, you'll learn about the story behind Faith Community and more about how God wired you so you can begin making a difference with your unique gifts. You'll also meet pastors and other church leaders here at Faith. If you are new to the church or just haven't gotten connected yet, Next Steps is a great first step for you!

El Salvador Mission Trip: September 1-8
September 1st - September 8th, 2018
This September, a team will travel to El Salvador to partner with a project to help Abigail Ministries. The team will be working with the local children, families, churches, and schools in the program. It may also include small construction and maintenance projects (painting, beautification, etc.) and ministry activities (VBS, playing games, spending time with children and adults, etc.).
